Nachhaltigkeit in der Landespolitik

Seit 1999 ist die Aufgabe, Schweden zu einer nachhaltigen Gesellschaft umzuformen, ein fester Bestandteil der Regierungsarbeit. Jeden Herbst erhält das Parlament (Riksdag) eine Mitteilung der Regierung, die Vorschläge zum Erreichen der ökologischen Nachhaltigkeit enthält. Die Webseite des Umweltministeriums wurde mittlerweile umgestaltet, so dass die älteren Berichte nur über die Suchfunktion erreicht werden können.

Das schwedische Komitee für Umweltziele (Committee on Environmental Objectives) hat seinen Bericht „Die zukünftige Umwelt - unsere gemeinsame Verantwortung“ (The future environment – our common responsibility) im Juni 2000 der Regierung übergeben. Mehr dazu hier.

Nationaler Nachhaltigkeitsplan

Im Jahr 2001 hat die schwedische Regierung ihre nationale Nachhaltigkeitsstrategie veröffentlicht: Sweden’s National Strategy for Sustainable Development 2002. A summary of Government Communication 2001/02:172. Mehr dazu hier. d
Im gleichen Jahr hat Schweden auch einen ersten Indikatorenset veröffentlicht, der insgesamt 30 Indikatoren umfasst.
